A Turkish-Italian Story

Would you agree if I told you that skincare has become extremely complicated, even confusing, lately? There is a huge offer out there: products with different brands, formulations, packaging, smells, sensations, claims and price tags. Is there a simpler and more natural way to take care of our body and get even more satisfying results?

Hello!

I am so glad you found us.

My name is Füsun. I am Turkish and have been living in Milan, Italy, for the last 15 years. I am a business woman active in financial and strategic consulting activities for more than 20 years. As a woman and mother of a 13-year-old girl, skincare has always been an important topic in our home. My daughter and I love to take care of our bodies and we love to do it because when we look good, we feel good. In all these years and after trying a vast number of different skincare products, what has become obvious to me is that the basic requirement of our body skin is deep cleansing and hydration. If you only do these two things consistently, you already eliminate to a great extend the possibility of having problems with your skin. And you don't have to dive into the giant world of complicated and confusing product offerings to meet this basic need.

If you cleanse the skin of your body deeply, you are automatically able to resolve most of the challenges you have. Deep cleansing means removing all dirt and dead skin cells from your body on a regular and consistent basis. To do this, taking a shower is not enough. You need to exfoliate.

Turkish bath

We Turks are famous all over the world with our Turkish bath. A hammam ritual is about purifying the body, mind and soul, and it must include a deep exfoliation phase. Using a glove, usually called 'kessa', you have to remove dead skin cells from your body. Turks use exfoliating gloves not only in hammams but also as part of their regular baths at home. It has been a tradition for more than 600 years and it has always proved to be effective.

I have been exfoliating my body skin on a regular basis for years but I didn't know that in Italy it wasn't such a common practice. Then one day after last summer my daughter was complaining about the dark sun spots on her chest and I decided to exfoliate her skin with a pure silk exfoliating glove. She was amazed by the result we got. All the dark spots were gone, plus we removed all the dead skin from her body directly onto the bottom of the bathtub. That was the moment I was convinced that all my Italian friends would really love to use this product if I taught them how to do it.

Pure Silk

If you regularly exfoliate your skin with a pure silk glove, especially at the comfort of your home, you will for sure have glowing and silky soft skin. The practice is famous against skin challenges such as dry skin, oily skin, dull skin, acne, blackheads, stretch marks, ingrown hair, hyperpigmentation, keratosis pilaris and others. For example, I myself have very sensitive skin so I am always afraid of irritating it with products that include chemicals. Silk is known to be not only the least irritating material during exfoliation, but it also makes the skin glow in a natural and beautiful way, thanks to the special texture that the Turks have developed in years.

Over the years I have tried many different types of peeling products for my body; scrubs, solutions, masks, and others, but none has proven to be as effective as a pure silk exfoliating glove. Not even close.

Your Feedback Means A Lot To Us

We should all enjoy our bodies and feel good about our skin. I can already imagine the smile you will have on your face after trying the Matilde glove and this makes me very happy. By the way, please don't forget to leave a review on our webpage after trying it.

If you are wondering why I decided to call the glove with the name 'Matilde', it is because Matilde, my daughter, was my inspiration on this beautiful journey.

With love.
